Exploring all aspects of the beach including wave types, rip currents, sea creatures and lifesavers, the interactive ‘Introduction to BeachSAFE’ session will prepare people of all backgrounds and ages for Australia’s dynamic coastline.
Delivered by trained Surf Life Saving instructors who have extensive experience in beach environments and how to be BeachSAFE, specifically in WA, this session delivered at your school, community group or local surf club can be tailored for all ages and levels of beach knowledge.
The course will cover key BeachSAFE principles of Supervision, Aquatic Education, First Aid and CPR and Emergency Preparedness and introduce participants to our valuable lifesaving services.
BeachSAFE Introduction
Duration:
- 1 hour session – Face-to-face instructional and classroom-based
- 2 hour session – 1 hour instructional classroom based and 1 hour beach based activities
