Youth Pathways courses introduced me to all of the opportunities within surf life saving. I haven't looked back! As a Youth Trainer, I've assisted my peers and members of the community learn life saving skills.

Youth Committee

The SLSWA Youth Committee was established in 2025 to provide both a development opportunity for U17 members as well as to provide feedback on programs and initiatives for their peers.

With objectives set for it by the SLSWA Development General Committee, the resultant cross-collaboration provides a valuable youth perspective while providing invaluable development opportunities.

The committee meets five times during the season, and also has the opportunity to sit with the SLSWA Board and share ideas and discuss initiatives.

Expressions of Interest to serve on the committee are sought from U17 individuals via SLSWA Circular (opens in a new tab) in June/July each year.

Please complete this form and submit it to register for one or more of the pathways.
