Lifesaving Services

Surf Life Saving WA’s lifesaving services perform hundreds of rescues each summer season; administer thousands of first aid treatments; as well as preventing thousands of incidents occurring in the first place.

Comprising a range of volunteer and paid services, these critical services enable safer participation in coastal aquatic recreational activities through preventing injury and saving lives.

Every summer season, between our iconic red and yellow flags, you can find our surf lifesavers and lifeguards.
