As a not for profit community-based organisation, Surf Life Saving WA relies heavily on the generous support of corporate partners and the State Government of Western Australia.

These partners provide much needed financial support to Surf Life Saving WA and allow the development of services and community education programs to ultimately ensure we are Saving Lives and Building Great Communities.

National Partners

Ampol is proud to be a national partner of Surf Life Saving Australia, the world’s largest volunteer organisation. Established in 1907, Surf Life Saving Australia is Australia’s peak coastal water safety, drowning prevention and rescue authority, with a network of more than 44,000 volunteers who oversee 314 beaches on Australia’s coastline and rescue more than 10,000 people every year.

The partnership sees the two iconic Australian brands join forces to help deliver safer beaches and to save lives, and underpins Ampol’s commitment to being a positive contributor in the communities where it operates, and to use its scale, network and employee base to improve the lives of all Australians.

As a Major National Partner of Surf Life Saving Australia, DHL has been helping Surf Lifesavers deliver safer beaches since 2003. DHL is the global market leader in the logistics and transportation industry and shares many core values with Surf Life Saving Australia including speed, passion and a can-do attitude.

Isuzu UTE Australia

Isuzu UTE Australia, home to the award-winning Isuzu D-MAX Ute and 7-seat MU-X SUV, is taking their safety-centric approach to a whole new level, as a Major National Partner and the Official Automotive Supplier of Surf Life Saving Australia.

At the heart of every Isuzu vehicle lies over 100 years of automotive experience and the tried and tested tough truck DNA—making them the pragmatic choice for SLSA with its proven reputation for durability and reliability. Providing our lifesavers across the country with a fleet of D-MAX and MU-X’s, Isuzu UTE Australia is proud to support SLSA’s mission and commitment to keeping our beaches safe.

Westpac has been proudly partnering with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) for more than four decades since the inception of the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service (WLRHS) in 1973. It is one of the longest corporate community partnerships in Australia.

The WLRHS is a vital extension of SLSA’s front line services operating in Southern NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA and a rescue boat in the NT. The national operation also incorporates the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Northern NSW and Tasmanian Services.

Over 300 rescue professionals and volunteers make up the national operation, which has 15 helicopters and one rescue boat across 13 bases. During summer, the Service covers over 84% of the Australian population and to date, the WLRHS has performed more than 80,000 missions across Australia, with no one ever having to pay to be rescued.
