Surf Life Saving in Western Australia is a volunteer-based not-for-profit community service association and is the key agency for beach safety in WA.
Surf Life Saving WA provides an essential educational and emergency rescue service to all users of West Australian beaches and plays a fundamental role in building healthy communities.
We employ 35 permanent staff, as well as a significant number of casual lifeguards, trainers and community education program instructors.
Current Positions Available
Accounts Officer (Part Time)
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Accounts team on a part-time basis at our head office in Balcatta.
This position will report directly to the Accountant to provide financial, clerical and administrative support and function to the various operational units of Surf Life Saving WA through accurate and timely accounts data and reporting processes.

Casual Instructors – SurfBabies & SurfKids Programs
SurfBabies and SurfKids are fun, interactive 6-week programs aimed at children from 2-7 years of age and their parents to increase awareness, confidence and safety at the beach. The programs are run on a Saturday morning, with series dates as follows:
Series 1: 28th October – 2nd December 2023
Series 2: 3rd February – 9th March 2024
Surf Life Saving WA is looking for Instructors to run these programs.
Applicants must be over 17 years, enthusiastic and have experience working with children.
All applicants must possess a current WWC and SRC or Bronze Medallion qualification and have a moderate fitness level.

Casual Instructors – Community Programs
Surf Life Saving WA delivers a range of programs to more than 10,000 students across WA annually, focusing on beach safety education.
We seek casual community trainers to assist in running these programs at a range of metropolitan beach locations across the summer. Applicants must be available throughout the school term during school hours
Applicants must be over 17 years, enthusiastic and have experience working with children, possess a current WWC and SRC or Bronze Medallion qualification and have a moderate fitness level.
