When you head out for a day at the beach, you’ll see the iconic red and yellow uniforms of our volunteer lifesavers. I hope you feel confident you’re in safe hands – because you’d be right!
Last year Volunteer Western Australian Lifesavers:
- Saved 442 lives while risking their own
- Provided 2,907 first aid treatments to people enjoying the beach
- Were on your coast patrolling for 118,289 hours
These numbers are significant. But even more important is that each one of those numbers has a person behind it…
…and a family that might not have seen their loved one alive again.
Those dedicated and highly trained West Aussie icons are there to watch over you.
To keep you safe.
To keep you alive.
So you can enjoy clean air, beautiful beaches, and a relaxed WA lifestyle.
Saving lives is what we do. And you can be a vital part of helping save lives between the flags.
However you choose to support, you can save lives and build great communities!
