Meelup Beach is a northeast-facing 400 m long pocket of sand occupying the mouth of a small valley.

Beach Patrol

Surf Life Saving WA conducts patrols of Meelup Beach over weekends and public holidays between November and January each year. For further information regarding patrol dates and times, visit beachsafe.org.au.

My Beach

Bordered by the rising vegetated slopes in lee of Garnet Rock to the west and smaller Sail Rock to the east, both of which are fronted by boulder beaches.

The main beach is often calm with a moderately steep beach fronted by a narrow bar then deeper water off the beach.

There is road access to a large car park and shady picnic area immediately behind the beach, while Meelup Brook crosses the western corner of the beach.
