An initiative by Surf Life Saving Western Australia, Surf Babies is an exciting surf awareness program for children aged 2 - 6 years, supported by SunSmart. The classes focus on water and surf familiarisation, identification of potential beach hazards and the development of water survival skills.

Surf Babies classes are held at Coogee, Cottesloe, Sorrento and Mullaloo beaches and run on Saturday mornings during first and fourth school terms. All lessons involve parent/guardian participation both on the beach and in the water.

The next series will run for 6 weeks, commencing 11th February 2012 and is a great way to ensure parents feel safer at the beach coming into the hot summer months.
