An initiative by Surf Life Saving Western Australia, SurfBabies is an exciting surf awareness program for children aged 2 - 6 years, supported by SunSmart. The classes focus on water and surf familiarization, identification of potential beach hazards and the development of water survival skills.

SurfBabies classes are held at Coogee, Cottesloe, Sorrento and Mullaloo beaches and run on Saturday mornings during first and fourth school terms. All lessons involve parent/guardian participation both on the beach and in the water.

The next series will run for 8 weeks, commencing 23rd October and is a great way to ensure parents feel safer at the beach coming into the hot summer months. This year we welcome 7 year olds to SurfBabies!

Children are grouped according to their age on the first day of the program.

StarFish (2 years)  8:30 - 9:00am

JellyFish (3 years)  9.10 - 9:40am

SeaHorse (4 years)  9:50 - 10:20am

Dolphin (5-6 years)  10:30 - 11:00am

StingRay (7 years) 11:10 - 11:40am
