
Fun and interactive, our SurfKids program is a great way to build both children and parents surf skills and confidence in the ocean.
SurfKids is a six-week course, run on Saturday mornings designed to educate children and parents on how to enjoy the ocean and beach safely. Conducted by fully qualified surf lifesavers, the SurfKids program for children 6 to 7 years old and aims to deliver the following outcomes:
Personal Safety | Understand basic safety practices: demonstrate attracting attention, and the importance of having an adult present when in the water. |
Beach Awareness | Understand the types of marine creatures and creatures that we share the beach with, |
Patrol | Identify a Lifesaver, identify red and yellow flags, and learn basic signals. |
Sun Safety | Understand the meaning of Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide. |
Water Confidence | Developed throughout the program. |

- Series 2: 4th February 2023 - 11th March 2023

The Surfbabies program is designed to familiarise children with the beach and ocean environment.
Target Audience:
- Children 6 to 7 years old.
Learning Outcomes:
- Implementation of this high-quality, activity-based learning program which has been designed give children the opportunity to build water familiarisation and beach safety.
Learning Methods:
- The instructors will get to know your child and teach appropriate skills each week, using games and structured learning in a fun environment.
