Surf Life Saving WA would like to congratulate the following athletes and team manager from Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club who have been selected to represent WA as part of the 2022 Western Suns IRB team.
After two years of cancellations due to COVID-19, the Interstate IRB Championships are finally taking place. The team will head east to Mollymook, New South Wales and compete Friday, 22 July, with the Australian IRB Championships running alongside the interstate competition from Thursday, 21 – Sunday, 24 July.
The last IRB Interstate Championships held at Kingscliff Beach in 2019 saw the Western Suns Female Mass Rescue team placing fourth, giving the 2022 team a goal to beat! Special mention to returning athlete Hollie Shiels-Rudd who competed at the 2019 championships.
We wish our athletes the very best of luck.
