Following the 2023 WA Pool Rescue Championships held at HBF Stadium over the weekend, congratulations go to the fifteen athletes, from five different clubs, selected to represent Western Australia as members of the 2023 Western Suns Pool Rescue Team.

The team, who will head to the Southport Aquatic Centre, Queensland, next week, will take on the Interstate and the Australian Pool Rescue Championships from the 4-6th of August.

For the first time ever, a country athlete has been named in the Pool Rescue Western Suns team. Congratulations to Mitchell Tuckey, from the City of Bunbury, for this remarkable achievement.

Trigg Island competitors Jake Smith, Harrison Hynes, and Kelton Rothnie will be defending their Open Male 4 x 50m Obstacle Relay Australian Record set at last year’s National Pool Rescue Championships.

We wish our athletes the very best of luck!
