My Beach

Trigg beach offered up 1.5 metre swell amid the cool but sunny conditions for the culmination of the IRB Competition Season – the 2017/18 Surf Life Saving WA IRB State Championships on Sunday 25 June.

99 competitors from 6 surf lifesaving clubs were put to the test and there was some very close racing in each of the 9 divisions offered on the day which meant a busy day for the finish judges and officials.

Ultimately there can be only one winning club overall and this year Mullaloo SLSC won the IRB Championships finishing with 64 points ahead of equal second placed Fremantle and Scarboro on 46 points each and Trigg Island on 9.

Mullaloo also earned themselves the Frank Senior Trophy for points accrued across the IRB season as well as winning the Dave Clark Shield for the best Male Single Rescue crew across the season. Scarboro Marine Subs won the Female Single Rescue Shield.
