Training Officers Course | North Cottesloe

This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award.

It is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory, lesson structure, communication skills, skill development and documentation.

Once you have this award, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching e.g, Bronze Medallion, IRB and be signed off by a club mentor.

This course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions on 21 September and 28 September. 

Pre-requsites:

• SLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 20mins)
• SLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 20mins)
• Minimum age is 16

These modules can be found in the eLearning section of the members area.

Complete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio. This can be found in the members library. Activities 1-10 should take about 60 mins.
