Appointed to the SLSWA Board in September 2025, Kate has been a committed volunteer and leader in surf lifesaving for the past 11 years.
A member of the Swanbourne Nedlands Surf Life Saving Club since 2014, Kate has dedicated seven years to the Club’s Executive, serving as Club Captain (2018-2021), Deputy President (2021-2022) and most recently President (2022-2025). This period of leadership supported the club through transformational growth and development. Kate enjoys spending her weekends on the beach connecting with members at the Club and across the surf lifesaving movement, whether that’s through patrolling, training, competing in carnivals or Nipper water safety.
Kate has relished opportunities to be involved nationally, as a mentor on SLSA Women’s Mentoring Program in 2025, and SLSA Leaders’ Masterclass Alumni.
In a professional capacity, Kate works in the tertiary education sector, most recently in operational and service leadership roles across Business and Medicine disciplines. Her areas of interest include internationalisation, process development and improvement, fostering team culture and student support.
