The annual Sunset Challenge hosted by Broome Surf Life Saving Club recently was once again a success, hosting more than 170 competitors from across Australia, including representatives from Albany, Alexander Headland, Broome, City of Bunbury, Dampier, Dongara Denison, Esperance Goldfields, Fremantle, Port Campbell, Sorrento, Trigg Island and Yamba Surf Life Saving Clubs!
Held over a spectacular weekend during the July school holidays, the Sunset Challenge is a fixture on the calendar delivering a fun weekend of surf sports competition and inter-club comradery for the many clubbies from around Australia who head to Broome for a winter break.
The Sunset Challenge also provides Broome and Dampier Nippers with an opportunity to qualify for the 2025 WA Nipper Championships, to be held in March 2025.
