2025 broome sunset challenge

The annual Sunset Challenge hosted by Broome Surf Life Saving Club recently was once again a success, hosting more than 100 competitors from across the state, including representatives from Broome, City of Bunbury, Cottesloe, Dampier, Dongara Denison, Esperance Goldfields, Fremantle, Sorrento, and Trigg Island Surf Life Saving clubs.

Held over a spectacular weekend during the July school holidays, the Sunset Challenge is a fixture on the calendar delivering a fun weekend of surf sports competition and inter-club comradery for the many clubbies from around Australia who head to Broome for a winter break.

The Sunset Challenge also provides Broome and Dampier Nippers with an opportunity to qualify for the 2026 Fuel to Go and Play WA Nipper Championships, to be held early 2026.
