Training Officers Course – Trigg

It is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory, lesson structure, communication skills, skill development and documentation. This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award.

Once you have this award, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching e.g, Bronze Medallion, IRB etc, and be signed off by a club mentor.

This course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions

• Session 1: Wednesday, 21 August (6:30 pm- 9:30 pm)
• Session 2: Saturday 24 August (9 am – 12 pm)

Pre-requsites:

SLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 20mins)
SLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 20mins)
Minimum age is 16
These modules can be found in the eLearning section of the members area.

Complete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio. This can be found in the Members Area Library. Activities 1-9 should take about 60 mins.
