Over the busiest season last year (2017-2018), SLSWA volunteers reported 2,844 first aid incidents that were attended to. Professional lifeguard services recorded 2,667 attended incidents.

Lifesaving patrols commence at Alkimos Beach

Western Australia’s 31st and newest surf life saving club has grown so fast that they have kicked off their first season of volunteer beach patrols this year. Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club opened its doors to volunteers in 2017 and is the State’s fastest growing, with more than 320 members.
