WA Training Officers Course

This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award.
It is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory, lesson structure, communication skills, skill development and documentation.
Once you have this award, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching, e.g. Bronze Medallion, IRB and be signed off by a club mentor.
This course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions on Tuesday, 3 December and Tuesday, 10 December.
Pre-requisites:
- SLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 15 mins)
- SLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 15 mins)
- Minimum age is 16
- These modules can be found in the eLearning (opens in a new tab) section of the members area.
- Complete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio. This can be found in the members library. Activities 1-9 should take about 50 mins.
