People spend a large portion of their time at work, so all members of the workplace should know first aid. Partaking in a course with colleagues can help ensure everyone can respond to emergencies if a colleague or client is unresponsive, having difficulty breathing or is injured and increase staff capabilities.

Surf Life Saving WA can deliver first aid training at your chosen location. We will come to your venue at a time and date most convenient for you and your employees. Alternatively, your employees can join one of our regular first aid courses offered in the Perth metropolitan area.

First Aid requirements vary between workplaces so all relevant factors must be considered when deciding what arrangements to have in place. However, all workers must have access to:

  • first aid equipment and facilities
  • trained first aiders

No, there is no law stating that AED’s are required in the workplace; however, it is considered to be an important piece of equipment for use in an emergency situation and all employers are urged to have one on-site.

Yes, our HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is nationally recognised.
