Everyone loves a day at the beach. But what we love even more is that you all go home safely afterwards! Check out some of the information and tips we’ve put together to help keep you, your family, friends and loved ones safe when you visit our beautiful coast and beaches!

Beach Signage

The beach is a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Safety signs are put in place to warn you about the permanent and occasional hazards that are present at that location. Here in WA, we also have the important Beach Emergency Number (BEN) signs.

Before you head to the beach, we always recommend you check out the conditions first. Surf Life Saving Australia’s Beachsafe website shows current information and conditions for every beach in Australia.

It shows patrol services, hazards, and facilities, as well as weather, swell, and tide details. Beachsafe is designed to help you choose the right beach for your needs, so you can relax and enjoy your visit.
