What is Workplace Giving?
Workplace giving is an easy way for you to make regular donations from your pre-tax salary.
By making donations from your salary before tax is calculated, you not only reduce your taxable income, you also no longer have to worry about searching for receipts at tax time. Because your donations come from your pre-tax income, you receive your tax benefit as you go.
Workplace Giving is a great way to make simple, hassle-free donations. Once you’ve set up Workplace Giving with your employer, there’s nothing more for you to do except enjoy the feeling of helping to save lives and build great communities.
What impact will my Workplace Giving make?
Your support will help fund rescue equipment, medical supplies, and training for our volunteer surf lifesavers. All donations of every size will help our surf lifesavers save lives and keep Western Australia’s beaches safe.
- $3 a fortnight can help provide beach safety signs that alert beachgoers to dangers in the surf
- $5 a fortnight can help provide a rescue tube to help lifesavers keep a struggling swimmer afloat until further help arrives
- $15 a fortnight can help provide a set of binoculars to help volunteer lifesavers spot more people on our beaches who might be in danger
By combining your donation with your colleagues through Workplace Giving, the power of your support will be greater. Combined, your support could help provide a surf rescue board to help our volunteer lifesavers bring struggling swimmers safely back to shore.
Workplace Giving provides a regular income stream for Surf Life Saving WA, allowing us to plan for a future with zero preventable drowning deaths. It’s also a cost-effective program to administer which keeps costs down, ensuring more of your donations go where they’re needed most.
