Past generations have had the luxury of enjoying safety at our stunning WA beaches. The memory of the hot sand as you trekked over the dunes. Looking forward to relaxing as you placed your towel down at the perfect spot. Dipping into the waves to cool down. Then the sense of safety when you looked over to the lifesavers on watch between the red and yellow flags.

First and foremost, your Will ensures your loved ones are taken care of, and your decision to leave gifts are carried out. By leaving a gift to SLSWA in your Will you are choosing to save lives of future generations on our stunning WA beaches.

Thank you for making one of the kindest and most important steps to ensure our iconic volunteer surf lifesavers can continue to save lives on WA beaches into the future. We would love to be able to welcome you to our Wave of the Future community, and send you updates so you can see the impact of support just like yours. Please email the Donor Care Team to share your information in the strictest of confidence.

Once you’ve let us know you’ve left a gift in your Will, you’ll be welcomed into the Wave of the Future community. As a valued member of this community, you will receive updates on the impact of people like you to save lives on our West Aussie beaches. You will also have the opportunity to tell us personally how you wish your gift to be recognised.

After taking care of your family and loved ones, you may be considering including a gift in your Will to your chosen charitable organisation.

We suggest that you seek advice from a lawyer when drafting your Will. The wording is very important, and your lawyer can advise you about the different types of gifts and what is best for your circumstances.

  • Specific Bequest

You may wish to gift a specific sum of money, or an asset to Surf Life Saving Western Australia in your Will.

I give (sum of $ / description of asset) to Surf Life Saving Western Australia Incorporated (ABN: 38 926 034 500) for its general purposes. I declare that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer of SLSWA shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors or trustees.

  • A Bequest to a specific Surf Life Saving Club

While your gift to Surf Life Saving Western Australia will assist our wider West Australian community, you may have a specific Surf Life Saving Club you would like a gift in your Will to be directed to. Surf Life Saving Western Australia will distribute 100% of your gift to the club of your choice.

Sample wording:

I give (sum of $ / percentage of residue / description of asset) to Surf Life Saving Western Australia Incorporated (ABN: 38 926 034 500) specifically for ________ Surf Life Saving Club. I declare that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer of Surf Life Saving Western Australia shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors or trustees.
