DESCRIPTION:Pool Rescue competition is a growing sports discipline for Surf Life Saving WA and its clubs. SUMMARY:2023 Sunset Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Sunset Challenge is a major event on the Broome Surf Life Saving Club calendar. Over the years it has become a favoured carnival in which competitors from all over Australia come to enjoy the mix of friendly competition and a visit to paradise. \nJuly in Broome is the peak of the tourist season so intending competitors and visitors are strongly encouraged to book early for flights and accommodation. It is encouraged you contact the Broome Visitor Centre \nOver the Sunset Challenge weekend\, all participating clubs are asked to assist with the set-up and take down of competition areas. There will be social get together and award presentations after the completion of events on Sunday afternoon. \nEntries\nEntry fees are $20 per person and allow entry into all age group events. DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Bravery Awards are Surf Life Saving Western Australia’s (SLSWA) highest recognition for acts of bravery. They have been developed to formally recognise those who display selflessness and bravery\, whilst endeavouring to save the life of another\, on the Western Australian coast. \nThe Coastal Bravery Awards consist of five awards at three levels which recognise the acts of individuals or groups. The Awards are distinguished by the age of the recipient at the time of the act\, the capacity in which the recipient was acting (personal\, organised or professional) and the degree of selflessness\, bravery and courage displayed. \nFind out more here.

DESCRIPTION:The R&R Sunset Series is for athletes ages U11 – U15\, with a focus on training for 2 and 5-person R&R teams. Judges will offer review and encouragement for teams and coaches. \nThe third event will be held at Fremantle on Friday 3 February 2023 on Leighton beach. After the event Fremantle SLSC invite competitors and supporters to join them on the lawn for a sausage sizzle (provided by the club). \nEntries\nClose Friday 27 January.
