DESCRIPTION:The Cottesloe Classic Mile is a 1600m ocean swim\, starting and finishing at Cottesloe Beach. It was first held in 1984 and conducted by the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club Inc. The event also offers a 3000m and 400m race for swimmers of all ages and abilities. \nCash Prizes from $100 up to $500 will be awarded across the 1600m and 3000m events. \nAge Categories  \n\n12 years and over for the 1600m & 3000m races.\n9 years and over for the 400m race.\n\nEntries \n\nEntries are now open via Cottesloe SLSC. The event starts at Cottesloe beach and finishes at Swanbourne Beach.  \nAge Categories  \n\nSwim: 12 years old and over.\nRun: under 10 years old\, must run with a parent.\nSUP: under 12 years old\, must be accompanied by a parent.\nRacing mal: Need a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) qualification if under 16\, otherwise everyone is welcome (don’t need to be Bronze Medallion proficient).\n\nEntries \n\nEntries are now open via Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC.
