SUMMARY:R&R Sundowner Series R1
DESCRIPTION:The R&R Sundowner Series is for athletes ages U11 – U15\, with a focus on training for 2 and 5-person R&R teams. Judges will offer review and encouragement for teams and coaches. The first event will be held in the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre\, with great lights and seating for parents and friends\, and will be followed by a social get-together. \n\nThe second event will be held at Fremantle on Friday\, 8 December 2023\, on Leighton Beach\, with the same times.\nThe Third event will be back at Scarborough Amphitheatre\, same time as the first two events. \n\nEntries\n\nEnter on the night between 5-5:30pm\nEntry is free\n\nTeams\n\n2 Person: U11\, U13 & U15\n5 Person: U15\n2 Person teams will not be segregated by ages in the competition so mixed ages may compete side by side. Each team will receive its own judged score and feedback from judges. DESCRIPTION:This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award. \nIt is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory\, lesson structure\, communication skills\, skill development and documentation. \nOnce you have this award\, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching\, e.g. Bronze Medallion\, IRB and be signed off by a club mentor. \nThis course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions on 7 November and 14 November.  \nPrerequisites: \n\nSLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 20mins)\nSLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 20mins)\nMinimum age is 16\n\nThese modules can be found in the eLearning section of the members area. \nComplete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio. Note if a sweep/rower will be in both male and female races\, a total\nof $20 for that athlete will be charged. \n• Entries are now closed \nTeams\nClubs are to compile teams through SurfTec from entries made by their members by Thursday\n12 October\, 11.00pm.  \nLogistics\nTrailer Drop Off: Please unhook your trailers at the club car park from 6-7:30am on Saturday. They will be towed onto the beach for you\, the trailers will stay on the beach and you can unload your boat whenever you like. No trailers will be towed onto the beach after 7:30am so any clubs with boats exclusively used by male crews (ie the later race start) MUST DROP OFF YOUR BOATS BEFORE 7:30am. \nTrailer Pick Up: Once you have loaded your boat and are ready to leave\, call over a 4WD driver who will tow your boat into the car park where you MUST BE READY with your vehicle to tow it away immediately. \nRace and Presentation Timing\nFemale Race Briefing … 7:45am \nFemale Race Start … 8am \nFemale Medal Presentations … at the podium on the beach directly after all female competitors finish. \nMale Race Briefing… 5 mins after completion of medal presentations for female categories. \nMale Race Start… 15 mins after end of briefing. DESCRIPTION:This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award. \nIt is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory\, lesson structure\, communication skills\, skill development and documentation. \nOnce you have this award\, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching e.g\, Bronze Medallion\, IRB and be signed off by a club mentor. \nThis course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions on 21 September and 28 September.  \nPre-requsites: \n\nSLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 20mins)\nSLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 20mins)\nMinimum age is 16\n\nThese modules can be found in the eLearning section of the members area. \nComplete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio.
