DESCRIPTION:This course gives you the WA Training Officers Award. \nIt is a generic trainers course covering teaching theory\, lesson structure\, communication skills\, skill development and documentation. \nOnce you have this award\, complete a logbook for the course you are interested in teaching\, e.g. Bronze Medallion\, IRB and be signed off by a club mentor. \nThis course is delivered over 2 sessions. You will need to attend both sessions on Tuesday\, 3 December and Tuesday\, 10 December. \nPre-requsites: \n\nSLS – Child Safe Awareness (takes about 15 mins)\nSLS – Surf Risk Rating (takes about 15 mins)\nMinimum age is 16\nThese modules can be found in the eLearning section of the members area.\nComplete pre-course activities in the WA Training Officer Course Portfolio. This can be found in the members library. DESCRIPTION:Season 2024/2025 RWC In-Service \nSurf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA) invites Powercraft/ RWC leaders from each club to attend an RWC (Rescue Water Craft) In-Service focused on discussing current and future RWC management plans. This session will also provide insights into the SLSWA structured RWC program\, including training pathways\, skill development\, and operational levels. \nAttendees will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and discuss strategies to support the growth and sustainability of RWC services. \nIf you wish to attend on behalf of your club please RSVP by Tuesday the 3rd of December 2024 to Glen Hinkley\, an agenda will be distributed to the RSVP list. \nA Microsoft Teams option will be available for those who would like to attend online (RSVP required).
