DESCRIPTION:Fremantle SLSC\, in partnership with SLSWA\, will be facilitating an interagency training opportunity for patrolling members with St John Ambulance intern paramedics. \nThis day is extremely beneficial for all patrol members in understanding how skills as surf lifesavers can be utilised and integrated with other agencies’ responses to incidents. \nThe day will consist of practical (dry) scenarios with members as the first responders and then scenarios with St John Ambulance crews\, which will take attendees through primary and secondary response and extrication. \nLocation: Fremantle SLSC \nDate: Thursday\, 2 July\, 2026 \nTime: 9:00am – 3:00pm \nSpots are limited and fill up quickly. SUMMARY:2026 WA Pool Rescue Championships
DESCRIPTION:Pool Rescue competition is a growing sports discipline for Surf Life Saving WA and its clubs. Pool Rescue sees competitors’ aquatic skills tested with events including manikin tows\, obstacle swims and tube swims carrying ‘patients’. \nIt is very important for surf athletes to have pool rescue skills – as well as surf skills – among their credentials in order to be considered for selection in Australian elite surf sports teams. \nPool tournaments also encourage athletes who may feel uncomfortable in the ocean to get involved in the lifesaving movement. \nEntries\n\nEntries open via SurfTec\nEntries close Thursday\, 25 June at 11:59pm\nThere is an administration fee of $15 which will be charged with the first event entered\nThe cost for individual events is $10\nThe cost for one or more team events is $10. You must enter Team Event otherwise your club will be unable to select you.\nTake care with your entry. SUMMARY:2026 Broome Sunset Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Sunset Challenge is a major event on the Broome Surf Life Saving Club calendar. Over the years it has become a favoured carnival in which competitors from all over Australia come to enjoy the mix of friendly competition and a visit to paradise. \nJuly in Broome is the peak of the tourist season so intending competitors and visitors are strongly encouraged to book early for flights and accommodation. It is encouraged you contact the Broome Visitor Centre. \nOver the Sunset Challenge weekend\, all participating clubs are asked to assist with the set-up and take down of competition areas.
