SUMMARY:West Life Saving Pool Rescue Development Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Pool Rescue competition is a growing sports discipline for Surf Life Saving WA and its clubs. Pool Rescue sees competitors’ aquatic skills tested with events including manikin tows\, obstacle swims and tube swims carrying ‘patients’. \nIt is very important for surf athletes to have pool rescue skills – as well as surf skills – among their credentials in order to be considered for selection in Australian elite surf sports teams. \nPool tournaments also encourage athletes who may feel uncomfortable in the ocean to get involved in the lifesaving movement. \nWest Life Saving are offering a block of three pool rescue development sessions perfect for U8 – U14 junior athletes new to pool rescue. These developmental sessions are coaches by accredited foundation\, development or high-performance pool lifesaving coaches. \nSession dates: \n\n19 May: 3pm – 4pm\n26 May: 3pm – 4pm\n9 June: 3pm – 4:30pm (extended session which includes race and practice relays)\n\nEntries\n$30 for a block of 3 sessions + pool entry fee \nRelated Documents\nInformation Flyer \nEvent Enquiries\nTo West Life Saving Club via their Facebook page
