Our Surf Survival program teaches students vital skills to enjoy the beach and ocean safely.

The six week, beach based course conducted by fully qualified surf lifesavers, will teach students important skills to manage the dynamic conditions of the WA coastline.

Students will learn how to identify hazards, understand waves and how to negotiate the break and rips. The students will have the opportunity to use nipper boards, rescue tubes and practice first aid and resuscitation.

Senior students will also have the opportunity to obtain their Surf Rescue Certificate* which would allow them to gain paid positions on the beach.

*participants must be 13 years of age to obtain their Surf Rescue Certificate.
