Surf Life Saving WA offers a range of BeachSAFE education programs that can be tailored to suit the needs and abilities of your group, regardless of age, gender or nationality.
Delivered both in the classroom and on the beach, qualified Community Program Instructors have sound beach safety knowledge and experience that they are trained to deliver in a culturally appropriate manner.

Multicultural BeachSAFE Program
Our qualified Surf Life Instructors will provide the ideal introductory session to the Australian beach lifestyle. Learn important aspects of sun, surf and beach safety through fun and interactive land and water based activities.
Exploring all aspects of the beach including wave types, rip currents, sea creatures and lifesavers; the interactive introduction presentation will prepare people of all backgrounds for Australia’s dynamic coastline.
After being briefed on valuable safety tips, participants will develop their skills through fun activities including board riding, surf negotiation, swimming and beach activities, which also provide a glimpse of the activities that are available through ongoing participation in Surf Life Saving.
Choose from Surf Life Saving WA’s pre-designed program format or a program can be customised to suit your group.
Duration: 1 x two hour session (1 hour classroom based presentation and 1 hour beach based activities)
