Koombana Beach, located in Bunbury's Koombana Bay, underwent extensive re-development in 2017-18 and also now features a Lotterywest Observation Tower.

Beach Patrol

City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club conducts patrols of Koombana Beach over weekends and public holidays between October and April each year. For further information regarding patrol dates and times, visit beachsafe.org.au.

Known for it's calm waters, Koombana Beach is a great option to take the family swimming - you may even spot some of the local bottlenose dolphins!

Having undergone an extensive redevelopment, the transformation includes more parking bays, an amphitheatre, wheelchair access ramps, shade areas with seating and barbecues, an accessible playground, extensive landscaping and a revamped kiosk.

The redevelopment has also been designed to be accessible and inclusive for people with disability and includes several accessible features. In addition to the Changing Place Facility other accessible features include; ACROD bays, beach wheelchairs, drink fountains, seating, barbeques, accessible ramps to the beach and improved circulation space around the paved area of the development.
