Alkimos Beach

Located in a newly developed suburb 40km’s north of the CBD, Alkimos Beach is one of Perth’s hidden gems. It’s white sandy beaches, rolling dunes and large grassy open space, stretch for 3km’s and is rarely crowded. Due to the reef located parallel to shore, waves are usually less than 1m in height, providing calm conditions for swimmers.

Conveniently located at the northern beach access are BBQ facilities, free of use for all visitors along a soft grassed area. Alternatively, you can purchase food and drinks from the local café. Free Wi-Fi is available to visitors near the Surf Lifesaving Club, accessible by searching for “Lendlease_FreeWiFi”.

Located on the trail down to the beach is a newly developed fitness park free of use, containing a fitness circuit and playground.

The easier way to Alkimos Beach is along Marmion Avenue by car or taxi services, as the nearest train station is 3kms away (Butler). Parking is available at both the northern and southern beach entry, however, the north access provides the shortest walk to the beach.

If you’re travelling by bus, Alkimos Beach is roughly 7kms from Clarkson Station and is serviced by the Transperth 480 or 490 from Clarkson, Joondalup or the Perth CBD. Plan your journey through the Transperth Journey planner.
