Cadets WA is a program that has been developed by the Department of Community Development. This program is offered to Secondary schools and is an extra component to the school curriculum that is held outside of school hours.

Surf Life Saving WA offers schools a program for students to become a Surf Life Saving Cadet. This program is run by a school and a surf club combined and is programmed to suit the needs of all involved.

There are many courses available to schools within Surf Life Saving including the Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze Medallion Cert 11 in Aquatic Safety, Senior first aid, Resuscitation awards and much more.
