Cadets WA is a program that has been developed by the Department of Community Development. The program is offered to Secondary schools and is an extra component to the school curriculum that is held outside of school hours.

Surf Life Saving WA offers schools the opportunity for students to become a Surf Life Saving WA School Cadet. SLSWA, Cadets WA and the school will work together to get a program that suits all participants.

There are many courses available to schools within Surf Life Saving including the Community Surf Rescue Certificate, Senior First Aid, Beach Activities, Advanced Resusciation Techniques Certificate and now the Recreational Skippers Ticket.
