Our junior program offers members aged 9 a fun and interactive environment at the beach. Children in this age group will be assessed on their ability to swim 25 meters in freestyle and float for one and a half minutes before participating in any water based activity at any club.

Children are encouraged to participate in all activities to give themselves the opportunity to develop and improve their skills. Children in this age group do not compete in any inter club competitions, but do complete an education program called Surf Safe One. Resuscitation is introduced for the first time with an opportunity to experience CPR on a manikin. Those participants who complete this award will receive a Surf Safe One certificate at the end of the season.
