Since 1907 Surf Lifesavers have been patrolling our beaches and saving lives. Without the generosity of individuals and business to fund our vital services Surf Life Saving WA would not be able to continue to save lives and build great communities.
During 2006 / 2007 SLSWA lifesavers preformed 844 rescues and 11,117 preventative actions ensuring that West Aussie’s and people visiting our beaches were kept safe and protected from our unpredictable coastline.
Surf Lifesavers are not only saving lives on our beaches but helping to ensure that the community knows the essential skills to help save a life. Surf Life Saving WA, with the help of our Surf Lifesavers, are educating and training not only the members of our 27 clubs, but are now educating and training commercial businesses, school groups and the wider community.
The West Australian elements are harsh and our equipment’s life span is short lived due to the salt and sun. Surf Life Saving WA needs your help more than ever to ensure that our Surf Lifesavers have the best training and rescue equipment so that they can continue to save lives and build great communities now and in the future.
You can help Surf Life Saving WA in saving lives by a one off gift or by making a monthly gift through our Guardians of the Surf or Payroll Giving program.
