Course Overview

A candidate who has demonstrated competence in Defibrillation Certificate is entitled to receive a statement of attainment for the unit of competency PUAOPE010A Operate a Semi Automatic Defibrillator in an Emergency. Which is a competency recognised nationally under the Vocational Education and Training System.

Prerequisites

A candidate must:
• Be a minimum of 16 years old on the date of assessment.
• Hold the unit of competency PUAEME001A Provide Emergency Care, OR
• A current SLSA Bronze Medallion/Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue), OR
• A current SLSA Senior First Aid Certificate (CPR component must have been updated within last 12 months).
