Training Officer

The Training Officer course is conducted by Surf Life Saving WA to enable members to assist their club in Training & Education of its members

 

Course Outline

This purpose of this course is to help you gain knowledge and skills to provide instruction and demonstration of work skills using existing learning resources, in a safe and comfortable learning environment, and to determine the success of both the training provided and personal training performance. You will also develop knowledge and skills to enable you to demonstrate competence in the nationally recognised unit of competency:

TAEDEL301A Provide work skill instruction

This unit is an elective unit of the nationally recognised TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
 

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• Organise instruction and demonstration
• Conduct instruction and demonstration
• Check training performance
• Review personal training performance and finalise documentation

Pre-requisites

To commence training for the Training Officer Certificate you must have met the follow course pre-requisites.
• Minimum of 16 years of age on the date of final assessment
• Hold an SLSA award in which to train.

How to enrol

Submit the attached Training Officer "Expression of Interest" form to SLSWA to register your interest. You will be sent a course application form once courses are scheduled.
